About Us

The history

Since 1988, many cars have been dismantled under the care of Autobedrijf Renkens BV. This mainly concerned cars of the Opel brand. The Kadett C was a favorite and especially the coupe version, these were regularly partly disassembled in order to restore them and then sell them. Entire batches of new parts were also bought from classic Opels, those parts were already sold throughout the country at the time.

On July 1, 1995, the name Renkens AutoRecycling officially became a fact and in April 1996 the new business premises were taken into use. Given the increasing number of cars that were dismantled on an annual basis and the amount of parts that had to be stored, the building quickly turned out to be on the tight side, so in April 2001 the company building was drastically renovated and expanded.

Over ons

Also, with a view to the future, on January 1, 2009 the name Renkens AutoRecycling was changed to Renkens Auto-Onderdelen BV because our main activity consists of the sale of car parts.
In 2014, a start was made on fully automating the warehouse, which gave us a modern online stock system so that we could quickly see what was in stock and where it was located. Over the years, Renkens Auto-Onderdelen BV has grown more and more and due to the acquisition of a colleague company, the supply of cars became so high that the workshop could no longer handle it. So plans were made for a major move and so we came into conversation with the Municipality of Venray, where we were welcomed with open arms.

In March 2019 we started the new construction of an extremely modern building of no less than 1800 m2 on a plot of 6000 m2, with this step we are ready for the future. The new building (with a total capacity of 17,500 m3) contains a large workshop with 4 lifting bridges, a spacious warehouse with space for around 80,000 parts and a spacious sales counter with offices. On August 5, 2019, the new building at Spurkterweg 85 in Venray was taken into use and the branch in Overloon was closed.

The Company

Renkens Auto-Parts is the largest and most modern car dismantling company for the Horst – Venray – Boxmeer region, located on the “Smakterheide” industrial estate. The company has all the permits and certificates that are required for recognized car & scooter dismantling companies. We have a spacious automated warehouse with a location system, so all parts are quickly available and can be found online on this website.

We dismantle about 1200 cars every year and there are about 300 dismantled cars on site at all times. We are also a recognized return point for 2-wheelers with registration, such as scooters, mopeds and electric bicycles, as a bit of extra service to the customer.

The Process

After purchasing / confiscation of the vehicle, all administrative matters are first handled, such as the issuance of an RDW indemnity certificate. The car is then made completely liquid-free in our modern workshop using a drain installation and also stripped of, among other things, the tires, battery and other environmentally harmful materials. The usable parts are then disassembled, checked and provided with a barcode label. The parts are from that moment in our stock system and can be found online. After shooting, they are stored in our warehouse pending sale. Also, non-saleable airbags and seat belt tensioners are neutralized. The “bare” car wreck is then stored on the 4200 m2 outdoor area pending transport to the shredder.

The shredder waste that remains and used to go to landfill is now transported to the PST factory of HKS in Tiel for further separation and processing.
(Shredder waste is a mix of different materials and therefore difficult to recycle. Using the mechanical separation techniques, useful raw materials are extracted from shredder waste in the PST factory. These raw materials can be widely used for various applications.)
